About the Photography
This is not your typical mall studio. You will never wait 3 hours for a 15 minute time-slot to get a handful of unedited pictures of your kids saying, “cheese!” What is this? What kind of photography do I do? I want to capture the real child. I want to see the little face you see every day. Sure, we get smiles, but they are not forced. We get smiles because we get giggles. But we also get that serious face that makes you melt, the mischievous face that you never want to forget, and that sleeping innocent face that makes you feel like you could still kiss those little cheeks and feel the soft hair. We want the pictures of your snuggling your new baby to bring you right back to that moment anytime you look at them. When it comes down to it, it is not the picture itself that you love. It is the feeling you get from looking at it. We want these photographs to give you a feeling that you will never forget.
I work as an on-location photographer, so that means I come to you. We can do a session in the comfort of your own home or in the warmer months, take it outside to parks around town.
Newborn sessions always take place in the home, but in the summer, we often take the babies outside for a few pictures. These sessions are for babies under 2 weeks. Don’t worry if you have other children or you’d like to be in the pictures, too. Newborn sessions can be for the whole family, not just baby.
For those that are interested, I shoot with a Nikon D700 and a 5omm f/1.4 lens.
