I love this family. I’ve been photographing the VandeVeegaete family for a year now and I swear their boys are the sweetest little things in the world. That’s probably because their mom and dad are some of the nicest people I know. They are just so kind and I look forward to seeing them every few months. Dad is a great chiropractor (I know from experience!!) If you are in the Grosse Pointe area, check out his practice. His facebook page is here.

As you know, I bring an assistant with me to every newborn session. It helps make the session run smoothly and it allows the parents to just sit back and relax. I have three assistants the rotate for sessions but when baby Claire arrived and we booked the session, I found out 2 of my assistants were on vacation and the other was sick. I put out a message to my facebook friends and the first to respond just so happened to be one of the mama’s friends! We kept it a secret and Mom was very surprised when her friend, Stacy, showed up. Stacy was a great help and caught onto the drill real quick.
Baby Claire was a great little girl for us. So cute and pudgy. Her big brother, Drew, got to get in a few and was so adorable for his 18 month pictures. I was so happy that I got to use a few new props for their session. And their kitchen had an amazing little nook with the best natural light – it would make any natural light photographer jealous! The family’s already seen their gallery, but I couldn’t help but share. Take a look! Make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom.
